Barbara Berkowitz is an artist working in new areas. She produces innovative artwork that is highly adaptable to adorn elegant interiors in a new and exciting way.

Her exhibtion displays a range of her printing applications and concepts along with pieces of her art.

Barbara is a photographic artist, producing semi-abstract pictures from beautiful, transient subjects, dancers, flowers, nature. These ethereal pictures are beautiful in their own right but Barbara enhances them further by printing onto a range of surfaces – billowing voiles, floor coverings glass, canvas, metal, outdoor mesh, etc.

She works closely with technicians of the highest calibre to produce unique works of art on a large or small scale: printing in one piece can be up to 6 meters by 90 meters.

Based in Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, Barbara has recently returned to her roots of Fine Art Photography. She has worked in various areas of photography all her working life, latterly she was a commercial/industrial photographer after lecturing in art and photography and doing reportage work for various charities in Asia and Africa.

Barbara’s work is becoming recognised in Scotland and the UAE, which she sees as a key area for development of contemporary artwork. She is in discussion with major hotel developers and companies in Dubai regarding her work being commissioned.
